Recruitment Division (RECDIV) sent a delegation to Guangdong Province again between May 19 and 25 to recruit Hong Kong students in the southern region of the Mainland. For the first time, Commissioner Chow Yat-ming, alongside clinical psychologists from Psychological Services Group, Police College instructors and officers graduated from Jinan University (JU), visited JU to engage with and encourage Hong Kong students. The Commissioner attended a work symposium with the Secretary of the Party Committee of JU Mr Sun Yu on the future recruitment strategies of the Force.

Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Chan Man-tak also paid a visit with the delegation to exchange with the Hong Kong students studying in JU and Police Mentorship Programme Outreach (PMPO) mentees. He participated in a basketball friendly match to strengthen connections with those who aspired to apply for the Force. The five-day event not only provided police recruitment information to Hong Kong students in the Mainland, but also offered an on-site selection process. The event achieved excellent results with a record-breaking number of nearly 300 applications received, reaching a new height for Police University Recruitment Express (PURE) (Mainland).
