On June 1, Regional Crime Prevention Offices of New Territories South (NTS) and New Territories North (NTN)
co-organised the third large-scale carnival with the theme of Animal Watchers Programme at Hong Kong Science Park. For the first time, the event this year focused on the theme of “Healthcare, Food, Shelter and Behaviour” with the support from nearly 40 enterprises and organisations. The venue featured three main zones - Exhibition Zone, Market and Adoption Zone, and Anti-Deception Entertainment Zone - to holistically promote the concept of “Protect Animals, Respect Lives” while raising public awareness about anti-deception.

The Market and Adoption Zone featured animals awaiting adoption and a diverse range of pet products and creative merchandise, with professional veterinarians on-site to share animal care knowledge. Successful adopters received pet insurance discounts and pet supplies provided by sponsors. Adoption families also shared their heartwarming stories at the event, inspiring more citizens to support animal adoption.

The carnival attracted nearly 10 000 participants, many of whom brought along their own pets to show solidarity with the Force and animal protection organisations. Over 20 caring individuals applied on-site to adopt animals. NTS and NTN will host another Animal Care Market at Hong Kong Science Park on June 14. Your participation and support are most welcome.
