The Police Shooting Club (PSC) held the Force Annual Shooting Competition on May 3, attracting over 200 regular and auxiliary officers joining the competition, in which 70 of them made their debut for the New Entry Trophy. Commissioner Chow Yat-ming, Director of National Security Kong Hok-lai, Commandant of Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force Dr Leung Sai-kwong, Chairperson of Police Sports Council Chan Sze-tat and Chairperson of PSC Chu Man-lung attended to support the athletes and presented trophies to the winners.

A brand new shooting procedure was instigated for conducting the Inter-Major Formations Shooting Challenge based on operational shooting for the Inter-Major Formations shooting competition this year. Participating teams needed to disembark a simulated police vehicle and shoot at target arrays with both “shoot” and “no-shoot” targets within the shortest possible time. The aim was to test the marksmanship, teamwork and coordination capabilities of the teams.

In addition, PSC will organise a series of revolver and pistol courses for regular officers, civilian staff and their family members in summer. Please refer to the Force Notice Board for details.
