On June 9, the Force attended the Po Leung Kuk Affiliated Secondary Schools Education Seminar which aimed to enhance the understanding of prevalent juvenile crimes among principals and teaching staff, as well as to strengthen their capabilities in crime prevention, thereby fostering collaboration between schools and the Force.

Commissioner Chow Yat-ming emphasised the importance of cooperation with various sectors of society in his opening remarks. He stressed the importance of collaborative efforts in safeguarding children and youth, which would help strengthen the younger generation’s understanding of legal compliance and self-protection. He noted that issues such as “space oil drugs” and “online sexual grooming” were gaining increasing attention in the community. Through the seminar, he hoped to enhance the educators’ understanding of related topics and encourage students to develop positive values. Besides, representatives from Crime Wing and the Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit also shared the latest information on crime prevention with over 700 principals and teaching staff from Po Leung Kuk. Participants were encouraged to positively exchange their views. In this academic year, the Force has organised trainings over a wide range of topics for over 9 000 teaching staff.
