Public Relations (PR) Wing hosted a 19-member delegation from the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) News Media Center (NMC) from May 26 to 28. The delegation comprised public security personnel from various provinces, cities and autonomous regions in the Mainland.
Both parties engaged in exchanges covering topics on media liaison, police social media strategies, new media communication and applications, cultural and creative industries, police film and television production, and PR strategies of Junior Police Call. PR Wing arranged the delegation to visit Douyin Group (HK) and TVB to learn about police cooperation with private organisations in film production and new media applications. Both parties also shared experiences on mechanisms for countering fake news as well as live broadcasting and information dissemination during major events. The delegation highly commended the Force’s professionalism in anti-scam publicity.
Chief Superintendent of PR Wing Leung Chung-man summarised the outcomes of the exchange. He encouraged officers to “dare to innovate, dare to co-create, and dare to fight”, and shared his insight “Actions speak louder than words, but good deeds deserve good words too”. PR Wing is exploring future collaboration opportunities with the NMC to promote innovative development in police PR work.
