Senior Police Call (SPC) Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024 cum Luncheon was held on June 13 at the Police Officers’ Club. The meeting was officiated by Regional Commander of Marine cum Chairperson of SPC Central Advisory Board Ng Cheuk-hang. In his opening remarks, he expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all attendees for their continuous support of SPC. He reaffirmed SPC’s commitment to aligning with the government’s policy direction by encouraging senior citizens to continue contributing their strengths and to work hand in hand with the Force in combatting crime.

In addition to reviewing the activities organised by SPC throughout 2024, the meeting also introduced a revamp under the new brand “PALS@SPC”. This initiative categorises both new and existing programmes under four core pillars, namely “Participate”, “Alert”, “Learn” and “Safeguard”. This new framework aims to elevate SPC’s brand identity and optimise resource integration between headquarters and Districts. The attendees actively engaged in the discussion, contributing valuable ideas and opinions. Trophies were presented to 44 SPC members under the categories of “Best SPC Captain 2024” and “Most Active SPC Member 2024”, honouring their significant contributions and dedication to SPC activities.

Commissioner Chow Yat-ming, Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Yip Wan-lung and Director of Operations Lui Kam-ho were invited to the luncheon. In his speech, the Commissioner extended his gratitude to all sectors for their support and emphasised that the valuable feedback from members would be instrumental in elevating the quality of future SPC programmes. Appreciation trophies were presented at the luncheon to SPC’s outstanding strategic partners in recognition of their continued support. The luncheon featured two special performances: an anti-fraud drama staged by SPC and JPC members from Yuen Long District and a live musical performance by a band formed by SPC members from Marine Port District.
