The tournament originally consisted of six rounds over a two-year period. The winning team of the Gross Division would be awarded the Ambrose Lee Trophy donated by the former Secretary for Security, while the winner of the Net Division would be awarded the Tsang Yam-pui Trophy donated by the former Commissioner of Police. The tournament was suspended during the pandemic and resumed in 2024. Police Golfing Society demonstrated perseverance and ultimately defended its title, securing the Gross Division Championship for the fifth consecutive season and retaining the Ambrose Lee Trophy. Meanwhile, championship of the Net Division went to ImmD.
