Commissioner Chow Yat-ming visited Sham Shui Po District (SSPODIST) on June 24. The Commissioner has a deep bonding with the District as Sham Shui Po Division was his first attached Formation in his Police career. Accompanied by District Commander of SSPODIST Chu Man-lung, the Commissioner first visited Sham Shui Po Police Station. After that, he received a briefing from the District management in respect of the latest development of the District and the policing challenges.

In the exchange session with frontline officers, apart from elaborating the three major work focuses which were national security, smart policing and strengthening team culture respectively, the Commissioner responded to officers’ enquiries concerning issues of five-day week, operations, manpower and welfare benefits. He mentioned that the Force management would continue to deepen the shared values amongst officers and provide more targeted support and development opportunities, with a view to further promoting officers’ sense of pride and belonging. He encouraged officers to demonstrate the united power of “One Force” to address the policing challenges in the future.
