The Administration of Kowloon East (KE) held a sharing session under SAGEPEARLS 3.0 on July 8. Legislative Councillor Mr Tang Fei was invited to share experience and exchange views with KE officers on how to promote national security education in the new generation.
During the session, Mr Tang shared the characteristics and values of the new generation. He highlighted that if officers wanted to effectively instil the awareness of national security into the new generation and arouse their senses of responsibility in safeguarding national security proactively, they needed to understand that the new generation was raised in a digital world and attached importance to participation and diverse cultures. Promotion of national security education requires the concerted effort and sustained enhancement by the Force, the government, educational institutions, the community and the new generation themselves.
The sharing session was well received by over 150 participants from KE. All participants agreed that the sharing session enhanced their knowledge about the new generation and deepened their understanding towards promoting national security education.
