NStory Short Video Competition, organised by the National Security Department (NSD) of the Force, held its award presentation ceremony on July 14. Commissioner Chow Yat-ming likened national security to home security and stated that protecting our homes was the civic responsibility of every citizen in his address at the ceremony. Alongside the Commissioner, officiating guests included Deputy Commissioner (DCP) (National Security) Kan Kai-yan, DCP (Operations) Yip Wan-lung, Legislative Council member Mr Tang Fei and Honorary Vice President of the Police Filming Club Mr Lee Lik-chi.


The competition attracted over 100 teams comprising a total of 277 students from 43 primary and secondary schools. A total of 52 awards, including champion, first and second runners-up and merit awards, Best Instructor Award, School with the Most Active Participation Award and My Favourite Short Video Award, were presented to the winning schools, teachers and students by the officiating guests. Mr Tang Fei, who was once a school principal, appreciated the Force for creating the Best Instructor Award in this competition which encouraged national security education. As a director, Mr Lee Lik-chi also shared short video production and filming techniques.


After intense competition, Pui Kiu Primary School won the championship in the primary school category, Ho Dao College (Sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen) won the championship in the junior secondary school category, and Homantin Government Secondary School won in the senior secondary school category. The Commissioner advised students to bring home not only awards and joy but also the importance of national security, and to further spread the message to their families and friends.
