The Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Search Group of Macao Public Security Police Force sent two officers to Hong Kong to attend the Advanced Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD) Course delivered by Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau between July 7 and 12. The course covered several professional aspects such as advanced IEDD theory and practical, X-ray image interpretation, forensic and laboratory practice, etc..

At the latter part of the course, six observers from the Police Tactical Intervention Unit of Macao Public Security Police Force joined and performed an exercise at the West Kowloon Station of High Speed Rail with the trainees to assess the trainees’ performance in a real environment. The trainees expressed that the course could enhance their abilities and confidence in handling IEDD, and they were impressed by the professional standard of the Hong Kong Police Force.
