To celebrate the first anniversary of the Good Police Story submission platform, the Public Relations Wing (PR Wing) is holding the Good Police Story exhibition from August 1 to 31 at the Police Sports and Recreation Club (PSRC), with a subsequent exhibition scheduled in September at the Police Headquarters (PHQ).
The first phase of the exhibition officially commenced on August 1 at PSRC, with the theme "Good Police. Good Stories. Everywhere.", showcasing over 400 police stories published in major media outlets, including Sing Tao Daily, Wen Wei Po, Ta Kung Pao, OffBeat – cover stories, OffBeat – Genuine words from public and OffBeat – Morale Booster. These reports highlight stories from officers in various posts, demonstrating the professionalism and dedication in serving the public of the Hong Kong Police.
More than 400 stories are currently on display at PSRC, including the main lobby, staircases from the ground to first floor, corridors and the indoor jogging track. The second phrase of the exhibition will move to the PHQ in September.
More than 30 officers featured in the Good Police Story attended and took photos at the exhibition with their families and friends on the commencement day. Chief Superintendent of the PR Wing Leung Chung-man officiated at the opening together with the first officer featured in the Good Police Story platform, Police Constable Yang Chiqiang; the first officer featured in Wen Wei Po’s police story series, Police Constable Yip Hiu-ting; and Police Constable Kwan Wai-man, who was featured in Sing Tao Daily for rescuing an elderly man suffering from cardiac arrest. During the event, Leung Chung-man encouraged colleagues to continue discovering and sharing good deeds, collectively telling good police stories.
Colleagues and their families who visit the exhibition on August 1, 11, 21, and 31 between 11am and 1pm, take photos, and share them on social media platform tagging "Hong Kong Police" will receive a model of the Commissioner’s No.1 official vehicle, limited to the first 50 participants. On August 1, all 50 model vehicles were given away quickly due to enthusiastic participation. Colleagues are encouraged to seize the remaining opportunities to win a gift.
Good Police Story Submission Platform
Since July 12, 2024 the PR Wing has launched the Good Police Story submission platform, offering three channels for police officers to contribute stories. The aim is to showcase the professionalism and positive image of the Hong Kong Police Force.
Submission Methods
PR Wing encourages more officers to tell Good Police Stories, promoting the Force’s positive image. All acts of kindness and professionalism from colleagues can be submitted by the following ways:
