On July 30, the Counter Terrorism and Major Incidents Bureau (CT&MIB) of the Operations Wing, in collaboration with the Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit (ICTU), organised a thematic exchange and visit at the base of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau (EODB). Over 50 ICTU members from the Customs and Excise Department, Correctional Services Department, Fire Services Department, Government Flying Service and Immigration Department participated in the event.

The event aimed to strengthen the collaboration among counter-terrorism units of the disciplined services, enhance the overall counter-terrorism preparedness, and provide ICTU members the opportunity to better understand the Force’s capabilities in responding to terrorism incidents.

During the event, Operations Wing invited the EODB, Counter Terrorism Response Unit, and Key Points and Search Division for a series of equipment displays and live demonstrations to showcase their expertise in handling explosives, immediate tactical intervention, and the professional use of drones in various scenarios as well as the latest equipment.
