The Government announced on August 1 the appointment of Mr Lim Jun-fu as the Deputy Commandant of the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force (HKAPF). The appointment was made by the Chief Executive to fill the vacancy following the assumption of duty of the then Deputy Commandant, Mr Leung Sai-kwong, as the Commandant on April 7.

Lim Jun-fu, aged 58, is a consultant of a medical company. He joined the HKAPF as a Constable in December 1990 and was promoted to Superintendent (Auxiliary) in February 2014, Senior Superintendent (Auxiliary) in November 2016 and Chief Superintendent (Auxiliary) in October 2017.

Lim Jun-fu has a wide range of operational and management experience. He was awarded the Long Service Medal for Auxiliary Police in 2005, the First Clasp in 2015 and a TIDERIDER medal in 2021.
