A six-member delegation comprising the Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB), Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau, and Financial Intelligence and Investigation Bureau paid a visit to the Federal Criminal Police Office in Wiesbaden, Germany, from July 28 to 31.
During the visit, both parties conducted in-depth discussions of topics including cybercrime, economic and financial crime, as well as anti-money laundering operations. Representatives from the German Federal Criminal Police Office also gained a better understanding of the professional investigation courses offered by the Hong Kong Police.
Senior Superintendent of CCB Kung Hing-fun, who led the delegation, remarked that the visit provided a valuable platform for the Hong Kong Police and German Federal Criminal Police Office to exchange expertise and practical experience in tackling cyber and financial crimes which is conducive to the enhancement of the mutual capability to safeguard the international financial system.
