The International Child Sexual Exploitation (ICSE) Database training, led by two trainers from INTERPOL's Crimes Against Children (CAC) Unit in France, was held from August 18 to 22, at the Cyber Range and Computer Room of Police College.
The ICSE Database, managed by INTERPOL and utilised by law enforcement agencies in over 70 countries or regions, combats child sexual exploitation through advanced algorithms that analyse data, deliver real-time intelligence, and efficiently identify victims and offenders.
The 5-day training covered vital topics such as victim identification, database functionalities, and AI-driven proactive investigations. Eight officers from Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau and Family Conflict and Sexual Violence Policy Unit participated in the training while over 15 Child Abuse Investigation Unit officers and Police Clinical Psychologists made exchanges on sex offender characteristics during the first day of the training.
This comprehensive training provided officers with advanced intelligence knowledge and prepared the Force to join the ICSE Database, reinforcing its commitment to child protection through enhanced international collaboration.
