The Organized Crime and Triad Bureau, in collaboration with the Detective Training Centre of the Police College and Macao Judiciary Police (MJP), organised a seminar to strengthen the alliance of both parties against cross-border gaming crime on July 25 at the Police College.

The seminar attracted the attendance of over 200 officers from different detective formations for discussions about combatting crime linked to Macao’s gaming industry and the referral mechanism between the two places. Head of the MJP Gaming Crime Investigation Division Mr Vong Chi-hou attended the seminar and introduced the current situation of Macao’s gaming sector and emerging crime patterns.

Expert perspectives were also shared by Senior Public Prosecutor from the Department of Justice Ms Yuen Man-kong on prosecuting complicated money laundering cases, and Treasury Accountant Mr Lee Siu-sing on the role of Treasury Accountants in the investigation of loan-sharking cases.
