Kowloon East (KE) Region orgainsed the “KE Family Fun Day 2025” on August 23 at its Headquarters. The event aimed at promoting the idea of family-friendly and enhancing the police officers family members’ understanding of the work of the Force. In his opening speech, KE Regional Commander Dr Law Yuet-wing thanked the family members for their support to Force members and delivered appreciation to the organising units.
The Fun Day featured a variety of game booths with the theme of the 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China (NG) in order to promote the 15th NG events that will take place in the region and disseminate the message of “benefit ordinary people, make a healthy KE”.
There was a wide range of activities in the Fun Day including performance by the Police Band, demonstration by the Dog Unit, drone show, laser gun shooting experience session, pet petting session by Mu Kuang English School, interaction with parrots as well as exhibition of police vehicles and various kinds of professional equipment. Participants could even visit report room, indoor shooting range, Emergency Unit, Traffic Team and Identification Parade Room etc. Family members could have a deeper understanding of the routine work of police officers through these activities, especially how to ensure public safety during the 15th NG and the capabilities to cooperate with stakeholders in handling unexpected incidents.
The event attracted nearly 800 police officers and their family members. Officers spent parent-child moments with their families on the day, and conveyed the Force Values through a combination of education and entertainment.
