Chief Superintendent Lam Cheuk-ho, Superintendent Cheung Hau-yee and Senior Inspector So Yue-tin of Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) attended the 15th INTERPOL Cybercrime Directors’ Workshop (Workshop) and the International Symposium on Cybercrime Response 2025 (Symposium) in Seoul, South Korea, from August 26 to 28.
The Workshop brought together INTERPOL officers and Cybercrime Directors from five jurisdictions in Asia Pacific Region, namely South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and China (online participation).
The theme of the Workshop this year was “Working as One: Sharing Threats, Shaping Responses”. Lam Cheuk-ho highlighted CSTCB’s initiatives in the application of artificial intelligence to enhance intelligence processing, cyber threat analytics, and predictive intervention against phishing scams. Furthermore, Cheung Hau-yee held a bilateral case meeting with the Korean National Police Agency with a view to enhancing crime investigation capabilities through international collaboration and information sharing.
In addition, during the Symposium themed “Trust in Cyberspace: Safety for All”, So Yue-tin was invited to share digital forensics research on drone vulnerabilities. It outlined the common vulnerabilities in drone security and provided investigation plans during drone security incident.
