The Service Quality Wing and the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) delegation visited the Cambodian National Police (CNP) and the anti-corruption unit (ACU) from August 25 to 28 to promote integrity culture and exchange experiences.

During the exchange, CNP officers introduced to the delegation the crime trend, public relations strategies and the achievement of community policing in Cambodia. They also shared the measures for enhancing integrity awareness and professional conduct among officers, as well as the challenges encountered in terms of integrity management and anti-corruption. CNP pointed out that combatting scams is its operational priority and a dedicated working group has been established to tackle online scams. The collaboration with law enforcement agencies of respective places will also be strengthened. The delegation shared the experience and achievements of the Force and ICAC in promoting good integrity governance and organisational probity. The delegation also introduced the Force’s Integrity Management Framework including the four-pronged strategy and related measures. Both sides agreed to further strengthen the cooperation across various policing areas. CNP also hoped that the experience of the Hong Kong Police Force would help them elevate their professional capabilities.

In addition, the Minister of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Cambodia Mr Jiang Nan met the delegation on August 27. He expressed the nation’s support towards the joint efforts of the Force and the ICAC in promoting international cooperation.
