In response to the growing number of members keeping dogs, the Police Officers’ Club (POC) and Police Sports and Recreation Club (PSRC) officially launched a pioneering "Pet-Friendly" Pilot Scheme on September 1, demonstrating the Force’s leading role in advancing social inclusivity and care for animals. The Scheme is well-received by members since its implementation. Under Phase One, designated zones—the outdoor area of the Verandah Bar on 1/F, POC and the Sportsman Bar on 2/F of the New Annex Block, PSRC—are open for members to dine with their dogs.

In preparation for the Scheme, the Clubs have established relevant guidelines, procured necessary equipment, and arranged staff training, including guidance and sharing sessions delivered by volunteers from the Animal Watchers Programme.
