Commissioner Chow Yat-ming, together with a 15-member Force delegation, joined the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s delegation on September 3 and went to Beijing to participate in the commemorative events marking the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. They attended the military parade at Tiananmen Square, experiencing firsthand the nation’s robust strength.


Being able to attend the military parade live for the first time, the Commissioner expressed that he felt an immense sense of pride and excitement. At the same time, he felt proud of the hard-won achievements of the nation’s peaceful development, and gave the highest salute to the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country. He emphasised that the Force’s mission is to safeguard national security and social stability, contributing to a brighter future for the nation’s development.


The Force will continue to protect Hong Kong’s prosperity and stability, carry forward the spirit of the fallen heroes, promote patriotism, keep the historical lessons firmly in mind, and cherish peace as well as strive forward in unity with the people of the nation.

In just two years since its launch, the Force’s Xiaohongshu account has achieved remarkable results! Thanks to the immediate release across social media platforms of the post about the Commissioner leading a delegation to Beijing to attend the military parade, the account gained 4 000 new followers in a single day. The follower count has now surpassed the 400 000 mark. The Force will continue striving to release and tell good police stories.
