The Recruitment Division (RECDIV) kick-started the one-month "Police University Recruitment Express" (PURE) at 12 local universities on September 15. For the first time, the “Probationary Inspector DSE 4+ express” was arranged, followed by an exclusive Extended Interview session for eligible applicants, so as to facilitate aspiring university students to join the Force as soon as possible after graduation. Over 780 probationary inspector applications were received, marking its peak since PURE started in 2022.

During the activities, RECDIV officers briefed the attendees on the selection process. Commissioner Chow Yat-Ming also visited his alma mater, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, to share his experience of joining the Force and insights from years of police work, encouraging students to join the Force and realise their ambitions. Representatives from the Airport Security Unit, Counter Terrorism Response Unit, Police Dog Unit, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau, as well as alumni from various universities who are now Police Mentorship Programme mentors were also present to share their insights on daily police work and give support to applicants.
