The 3rd BugHunting Campaign, co-organised by the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB), Cyberbay, a local crowdsourced cybersecurity company, and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, has concluded successfully. The closing ceremony cum awards gala was held on October 3. The event this year attracted a total of 185 organisations, with 55 of them remediated the system vulnerabilities proactively during the test and demonstrated a solid cybersecurity awareness. These organisations were honoured with digital badges to recognise their effort to establish a safe digital environment.

With the collaboration of artificial intelligence technology and cybersecurity specialised talents, a total of 223 vulnerabilities were identified from over 90 per cent of the participating organisations, which represented a year-on-year increase of nearly 1.5 times. After expert testing, the relevant organisations received several remediation recommendations which greatly enhanced their cybersecurity protection.

In the future, the BugHunting Campaign will expand its reach to more diverse organisations to promote the widespread adoption of dynamic security testing services for enterprise systems and prepare for future challenges from digital development.
