The Kowloon East Regional Crime Prevention Office (RCPO KE) hosted the “Kowloon East National Security Teacher Development Seminar” at the Kowloon East (KE) Regional Headquarters on October 3. Chief School Development Officers from the Education Bureau (EDB), the Chairmen and representatives of the Fight Crime Committees, and over 100 principals and teachers from 96 secondary schools in KE were invited to attend the seminar.

The event was officiated by Deputy Commissioner of Police (National Security) (DCP NS) Kan Kai-yan and Regional Commander of KE Dr Law Yuet-wing. Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong Legal Exchange Foundation and Member of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Mr Albert Wu presented on “The Constitutional Order and National Security Legislation of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region” while Regional Crime Prevention Officer of KE Poon Yee-jane introduced the national security education courseware specially designed by the Force.

KE and the EDB will continue to strengthen collaboration in order to support the education sector in implementing national security education.
