The Government launched the Pilot Programme on Community Living Room which has achieved remarkable results to date, with four Community Living Rooms currently located in Sham Shui Po, forming a closely-knitted support network in the area.

Sham Shui Po District (SSPODIST) held an exchange session on September 29 with representatives from the non-governmental organisations operating the four Community Living Rooms in the area. Representatives of the organisations not only shared their service experiences, features and resources but also explored the ways to enhance collaboration and resource sharing to achieve synergistic effects on community support. In addition, officers had discussions with the representatives on topics such as crime prevention, youth development, elderly support and community collaboration.

SSPODIST will continue to uphold the philosophy of “engaging with community”, and build a safer and more harmonious community with the public by organising various kinds of crime prevention education and community integration activities.
