Officers of Railway Division visited Hangzhou between October 8 and 10 to observe the local crowd management arrangements, during which officers visited the Hangzhou MTR Corporation Limited (MTRCL) to understand the measures taken by the railway corporation for handling the crowd which gathered to the river banks for the tidal bore of Qiantang River.

The railway corporation introduced to the officers the closed-circuit television system applying artificial intelligence which can collect data for passenger flow analysis, detect inappropriate behaviour, and manage massive luggage. The visit not only strengthened the communication between the Force and the Chinese Mainland, but also brought new insights for railway policing.
