The Police Annual Swimming Gala was held on October 10 at the Kwun Tong Swimming Pool, with Deputy Commissioner (Management) Chan Joon-sun invited as the guest of honour. This swimming gala featured the highest number of events and participants in recent years, setting 13 new records.

The Police College retained its men’s formation overall championship and women’s formation overall championship, and also secured the award of Best Participating Team. The Public Relations Wing won the award of Best Cheering Team. As for individual awards, Probationary Inspector Mok Yik-long clinched the men’s overall champion, while Probationary Inspector Wong Yuk-yan was crowned the women’s overall champion.

One of the highlights of the event was the “Directorate Relay”. Assistant Commissioners Chan Sze-tat and Ng Chi-chung, Chief Superintendents Leung Chung-man,Lee Nga-lai and Wong Chi-wing, and Chairman of the Police Swimming Club Superintendent Lau Ko-chun personally participated and demonstrated outstanding athleticism.

The organising committee extends its sincere gratitude to all athletes for their active participation and to the over 50 police volunteers for their selfless contribution to ensure that the swimming gala was smoothly conducted.
