Police Volleyball Club (PVC) organised the Major Formations Volleyball Competition on October 11, attracting participation of over a hundred officers from different major Formations. The event was filled with energy and excitement, where players showcased impressive skills and unwavering spirit. Marine Region claimed the championship in the men’s division, with Kowloon West being the first runner-up while New Territories North and Hong Kong Island shared the second runners-up. In the women’s division, Crime Wing secured the championship, followed by New Territories North as the first runner-up, Service Quality Wing and Kowloon West as the second runners-up.
Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Yip Wan-lung came to the venue and presented the awards. Chairperson of PVC Tse Tsui-yan praised the players for their outstanding performance, stating that the tournament not only facilitated exchanges and skill development among athletes from major Formations, but also strengthened teamwork and collaboration of the officers, demonstrating the “keep the ball in play, never give up” spirit.
Police volleyball teams conduct training at Police Sports and Recreation Club from 7pm to 10pm every Thursday. Force members and their families interested in joining the training may contact Senior Inspector Jackie
