L.I.O.N.’s anti-drug school campaigns
Mentees from the fourth cohort of the Leadership Institute on Narcotics (L.I.O.N.) launched anti-drug school campaigns in the 20 respective secondary schools and conveyed anti-drug messages to about 13 000 teachers and students between September and October. Several teams planned joint school visits to drug rehabilitation services facilities, interviews with professionals, production of anti-drug microfilm, anti-drug quiz competitions, anti-drug cultural and creative products workshops, as well as various kinds of immersive experience activities.
Mentees also designed several innovative activities with interactive experience such as anti-drug version of werewolf games, simulation of letter writing by family members of drug offence inmates, and anti-drug go-kart races to present drug harm through blending education into entertainment. Some teams even simulated the hallucinations and physiological reactions caused by drug abuse through escape rooms, mixed reality, virtual reality, and electronic pulse devices.
In addition, an anti-drug video produced by a team of mentees was selected for the New York Istanbul Short Film Festival and the Lift-Off Filmmaker Sessions Volume 9, drawing local and overseas audiences’ attention to drug issues.
L.I.O.N. x Anti-Crime Elite Games 2025
In the Love Our Life – LOL Party during the Anti-Crime Elite Games 2025 held by L.I.O.N. between October 18 and 19, the dangers of drugs such as Etomidate were presented to the general public through several anti-drug interactive booth games.
On the event days, participants cast their votes electronically to select the most popular booth activity. The result will contribute to the annual evaluation of L.I.O.N.’s activities, and the winning team will be awarded an overseas exchange opportunity.
