The Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) organised a cybersecurity seminar at the Police Headquarters on October 17, drawing the participation of over 230 representatives from more than 100 public and private organisations. The seminar provided an in-depth analysis of the latest cyber threat trends, and explored human-centric defense strategies as well as practical experiences from the perspectives of risk management, industry practice, technical solutions and so on.
The then acting Chief Superintendent of CSTCB Leung Oi-lam emphasised in her opening speech the human-centric cybersecurity defense mindset. The seminar featured four thematic lecture sessions delivered by cybersecurity and cloud technology experts. The speakers shared insights with the industry on social engineering attacks, artificial intelligence adoption risks, and safety strategies under multi-cloud environment targeting industry practitioner, as well as the defense mindset that one should have as a chief information security officer, with the aim of enhancing the awareness of emerging cyber threats of the industry.
