The Police College (College) and Tsinghua University have jointly organised the Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) Programme since 2021. The second cohort has graduated on June 22. Superintendent Tai Yan and Chief Inspector Law Hoi-ming received School of Public Policy and Management of Tsinghua University’s Outstanding Thesis Awards. On top of that, Tai Yan also received the Award of Tsinghua University’s Outstanding Thesis.

The College organised a thesis presentation on October 27. Four graduates were invited to present their research findings and their recommendations on policing work. Deputy Commissioner (Management) Chan Joon-sun was also present to show support.

Director of the College Chan Yee-lai remarked that empirical research had provided powerful support to the Force management for policy making. She also encouraged graduates to apply what they had learnt to their work and make contribution to the Force on research and work.
