Since the introduction of the Badge to Bachelor Scheme under the collaboration memorandum signed between the Police College and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2024, some police officers have been admitted. Among them, Police Constable Chau Tsz-him who is attached to the Personnel Wing, and Police Constable Yik Wai-pan who is attached to the Emergency Unit of Hong Kong Island have already commenced their studies in Sociology and Economics in CUHK respectively since September.

Both of them considered that the programmes have not only offered them valuable opportunities for career development and academic advancement but also expanded their horizons and thinking style.

Under the Badge to Bachelor Scheme, CUHK provides 39 Bachelor’s degree programmes for police officers who possess an Associate Degree or a Higher Diploma to pursue. Credit exemptions, extended study years and fee remissions can be arranged. Officers who are interested in the Scheme can approach Learning Services Division at 3661-5151.
