The Anti-Deception Coordination Centre (ADCC) of the Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) organised Healthy Senior Anti-scam Month with the theme “live healthily and stay away from scams; good fortune is always around” from November, 2025 to this January. Through a Cantonese opera, anti-scam talks, free Chinese medicine consultation and an anti-scam promotional truck for seniors, ADCC conveyed anti-scam information to over 2 200 seniors.

Anti-scam Cantonese opera

ADCC and Fung Wong Cantonese Opera Troupe collaboratively produced the anti-scam Cantonese opera “Myths of Authoritativeness” which illustrated the defrauding tricks of “pretend officials” scams to teach seniors how to avoid “surety” traps. The Cantonese opera was also played in Residential Care Homes for the Elderly and health centres throughout Hong Kong.
