Various Force units have been offering job attachment opportunities to Police Mentorship Programme (PMP) mentees during summer and winter breaks, enabling mentees to have a better understanding of police work through taking up short-term projects.
The 2025 Winter Job Attachment Programme provided 130 job attachment positions and introduced a new Policing Issue Case Competition. Mentees formed teams actively and submitted proposals about topical issues relating to promoting national security, anti-drug, anti-scam, public relations, recruitment, etc. In addition to receiving commendations, the top three winning teams were even provided with job attachment opportunities.
After initial screening, five teams among those who submitted the 11 participating proposals were selected to join the presentation session to compete for the top three on December 4, 2025 at the Police Recruitment Centre. The judging panel comprised the then Acting Assistant Commissioner (Personnel)
Kwok Mei-sum, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong Police College Tsang Fan-kwok, and Senior Superintendent of Human Resources Branch Kwok Ka-chun. After heated deliberation, Leung Ho-tin and O Yik-shing from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) became the champions.
The competition not only showcased mentees’ innovative ideas but also demonstrated the Force’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of policing talents.
