The Senior Police Call (SPC) and the Southern Medical University Hong Kong Alumni Association (Association) co-organised the SPC Health Campaign 2025 at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on December 28, 2025. The event took the 15th National Games as the theme, and encouraged the elderly to regularly participate in sports activities to establish a healthy lifestyle.
Regional Commander of Marine (RC MAR) cum Chairperson of SPC Central Advisory Board (SPC CAB) Ng Cheuk-hang, Chief Superintendent of Public Relations Wing cum Vice-Chairperson of SPC CAB Lam Sze-wan, SPC CAB members: President of the Association Dr Woo Wing-cheung, Ms Ng Yin-mui, Mr Leung Jerome-ty and Mr Ng Sau-kei officiated at the opening ceremony of the event.
In his welcome speech, the Chairperson expressed gratitude to SPC CAB members, the Chinese medicine practitioners and massage therapists of the Association and the Southern Chinese and Western Integrative Medicine Society, members of the Birney’s Corps Volunteers and the VolunTier, officers of different Districts and SPC members for their continuous support.
There were a diverse range of activities on that day, including free Internal Medicine and Orthopedics in Chinese medicine consultations provided by over 40 Chinese medicine practitioners and massage therapists which benefited over 300 SPC members from 22 Districts, an “Elderly Balance and Fall Prevention Workout” led by SPC CAB member Professor Hui Sai-chuen and SPC Ambassador 2025 Hey Brother, and an emotional management talk conducted by staff member of the Department of Health. There were also motion detection games and national security themed booths, which trained the physical fitness of the elderly in an interactive manner, and enhanced their understanding of national security.
