Assistant Commissioner (Operations) (ACP OPS) David Jordan attended the inaugural International Public Transport Security Conference held in Singapore between February 12 and 13, and delivered a keynote address on the security of public transportation systems. The two-day Conference, hosted by the Singapore Police Force, brought together over 200 senior police leaders from the United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia, alongside academics and technology experts from around the globe.

As a first-of-its-kind platform for international collaboration, the Conference focused on enhancing the resilience of mass transport networks against evolving threats. ACP OPS highlighted Hong Kong's innovative approaches to smart security and emergency response coordination in the address.

ACP OPS said, “The Conference not only provided a platform for sharing experiences, but also helped us to learn from our international counterparts and benchmark Hong Kong’s performance against global best practices. It reinforces our commitment to staying at the forefront of transport security”.

Hong Kong delegation’s attendance at this international mega event underscores the city’s role as a key player in international policing dialogue. The Conference also facilitated the sharing of experiences among the countries on the application of technology and cross-border collaborations to protect commuters worldwide.
