Building on the fruitful outcomes of the inaugural International Ethics Governance Roundtable, the Force has continued to promote international exchange and collaboration in ethics governance. On March 4, a delegation from the Service Quality Wing was invited to attend the second round of International Ethics Governance Roundtable organised by INTERPOL in Singapore.

During the Roundtable, representatives from INTERPOL’s Office of Internal Oversight, the Singapore Police Force and the Independent Commission Against Corruption of Hong Kong (ICAC) conducted discussions about issues such as advancing ethics governance through smart policing, as well as leveraging technology to enhance integrity monitoring, early warning and management effectiveness. Participants shared institutional frameworks, practical experience and innovative initiatives, and had exchanges of best practices and refined cooperation frameworks.

This Roundtable reflected the shared pursuance of strengthened accountability and enhanced integrity oversight mechanisms by law enforcement agencies of various places, and demonstrated the concrete actions of all parties in leveraging technology to jointly strengthen the solid defense for integrity.

As the global law enforcement landscape becomes more complex and risks also become multifaceted, participants agreed to establish more sustainable training and knowledge sharing mechanisms to strengthen cross-boundary collaboration networks, deepen partnerships, and promote integrity-based policing development.
