The Secretary for the Civil Service (SCS)’s Commendation Award and Civil Service Volunteer Commendation Award Presentation Ceremony 2025 was held on March 12. SCS Mrs Ingrid Yeung presented the Commendation Award to civil servants with persistent exemplary performance, and awards of the Civil Service Volunteer Commendation Scheme (CSVCS). The Chief Executive Mr John Lee and the Commissioner Chow Yat-ming also attended the ceremony to share the joy with the awardees.


17 Force members were commended, among them were Senior Superintendents Ngan Yuen-yee, Po Chun-kuen, Yeung Ric-shang, Superintendent Ma Wang-ngai, Chief Inspector Wong Yam-wing, Station Sergeants Chan Tak-kee, Lai Fu-wing, Chung Kam-chiu, Yim Wing-yiu, Yu Ching-yan, Chang Hon-ming, Sin Pak-wing, Chan Wing-ho, Lee Kwok-yiu, Senior Police Clinical Psychologist Mak Wing-fun, Senior Force Welfare Officer Ho Wai-man, and Senior Radio Mechanic Leung Wai-chiu.


The CSVCS includes awards for volunteer teams and individuals. Project Gemstone received the Meritorious Volunteer Service Award. For individual awards, 65 serving officers were awarded Excellent Volunteer Award and 21 retired officers were awarded Evergreen Volunteer Award. These awards not only recognise the selfless dedication of the Force volunteers but also embody the spirit of “Serving Hong Kong with Honour, Duty and Loyalty”.
