The Recruitment Division (RECDIV) sent two delegations to Huaqiao University (HQU) in Fujian and Jinan University (JNU) in Guangdong in March to organise the Hong Kong Police University Recruitment Express (Mainland), receiving a total of 436 applications. Subsequently, the JNU delegation paid a courtesy visit to Commissioner Chow Yat-ming.

From March 9 to 12, Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Dr Law Yuet-wing led a delegation to HQU, and discussed the directions for future collaboration on recruitment with Vice President of HQU Mr Wang Xiuyong. The delegation also engaged in exchanges with Hong Kong students studying at HQU and mentees of the Police Mentorship Programme.

From March 16 to 20, another RECDIV delegation visited JNU for recruitment activities. On March 25, Secretary of the Party Committee of JNU Mr Sun Yu led a seven-member delegation to pay a courtesy visit to the Commissioner. This was a return visit following the Commissioner’s first visit to JNU in May last year. During the visit, the JNU delegation learnt about the latest recruitment information of the Force, and explored with the Commissioner the opportunities for future collaboration.

The Force will continue to adopt proactive recruitment strategies and explore more collaboration opportunities with higher education institutions in the Chinese Mainland.
