The Final of the first Senior Police Call (SPC) Anti-Deception Drama Competition was held at the East Kowloon Cultural Centre on March 26. During the event, Regional Commander of New Territories South (RC NTS) cum Chairperson of the SPC Central Advisory Board (CAB) Cheung Wai-wah, together with SPC CAB members Ng Sau-kei, Dr Lam Wai-wing and Cheung Ka-ho, presented awards to the winning teams.
In his speech, the Chairperson remarked that the Competition allowed the elderly to learn about various deception tactics through drama, which helped educate the public to prevent deception and build a safer community together.
The Preliminary Round of the Anti-Deception Drama Competition was held on February 25, featuring SPC teams from all the 22 Police Districts. One team was selected from each Region to advance to the Final. In the end, Yuen Long District, Yau Tsim District and Tsuen Wan District were awarded the Champion, First Runner-up and Second Runner-up respectively.
To enhance their stage performance, participating teams received professional coaching from the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre before the competition, learning scriptwriting and stage performance techniques. Each team wrote their own scripts, designed costumes and created props, demonstrating an exceptionally high standard of craftsmanship.
