Officers from the Service Quality Wing (SQW) attended the “Contemporary Ethics Governance” seminar held by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers on March 23, and shared the Force’s experience in integrity management in the seminar. The seminar drew nearly 350 persons who participated either on site or online.

During the seminar, Assistant Commissioner (Service Quality) Tsui Sheung-yee shared the importance of leadership and Strategic Directions in upholding integrity and professionalism in the Force, and provided focused elaboration of the Force Strategy on Integrity Management which is centred on “Education and Culture Building, Governance and Control, Enforcement and Deterrence, and Reintegration and Support”.

In the question and answer session, the participants had exchanges on how the Force management commit to upholding supervisory accountability, and leverage technology and smart solutions to raise the professionalism among officers.

The seminar facilitated the connection between the Force and the engineering sector, and demonstrated that ethics governance has become an important cornerstone across professional disciplines in contemporary corporate governance.
