The anti-scam mascot “The Little Grape” has been reaching deep into schools and communities to convey anti-scam and self-protection messages to children. This year, the Force created a brand new preschool animation picture book set “Little Grape and You: Adventures across Fairy Tales” by transforming classic fairy tales, blending creative content with safety awareness and moral education.

Three stories cultivating positive values

The animation picture book set comprises one book in four volumes with three stories, integrating core values like anti-scam, safety, and honesty into classic fairy tale scenes with visuals and text. Little Red Riding Hood and the Candy House guides children not to wander off from their family members without permission in public places, and to stay calm and seek help from uniformed personnel if they get lost. Little Lam and Little Grape Park conveys the values of honesty and not being greedy. The King’s Minister, Little Grape is adapted from classic fairy tales, encouraging children to see through scams and not to follow others blindly.

The set also includes an interactive game book which enhances fun and parent-child interaction through interesting components such as “Spot the Difference” and counting games, alongside QR codes for playing the original nursery rhyme “Stand By You”.

The animation picture books are designed in a compact 6x6 inch portable format, making it easier for parents to read with their children anytime, integrate safety and moral education into daily life while nurturing children’s interest in reading.

Animation picture book promotion activity

The Force launched a quiz game for the “Little Grape and You: Adventures across Fairy Tales” animation picture books across social media platforms on March 30. The first 100 participants have been given the preschool animation picture book set. For those who missed the event, they can follow the Force’s social media platforms for information on related welfare activities. Parents can also browse the online flipbook version via “The Little Grape” webpage or borrow the physical animation picture books from public libraries.

Furthermore, artiste Kandy Wong recently filmed a video clip with “Baby Police” to share the fairy tales in the brand new preschool animation picture book. Kandy also visited six kindergartens from May 5 to May 7 to host reading sessions, distribute the animation picture book sets to children, and explain the content of the animation picture book. During the event, Kandy and a big “Little Grape” mascot had interactive Q&A sessions with children. Children who got the correct answers won exquisite “Little Grape” gifts.

“The Little Grape” will continue to convey safety awareness and good moral values to every child through an engaging and educational approach.
