The VIP Protection Unit (VIP PU) held the first event of the International Dignitary Protection Exchange Platform (DPx) at the Police College Integrated Training Centre (Kong Nga Po) from May 11 to 15. Director of Crime and Security Chan Tung hosted a dinner on the first evening to welcome all participants.
The event brought together 28 representatives from Chinese Mainland, Macao, Armenia, Brunei and Singapore to exchange insights on various key aspects of VIP protection.
The establishment of the DPx marks a significant milestone in the VIP PU’s international collaboration efforts. Not only has the platform raised the professional standards of VIP protection of the participating countries and regions, it has also demonstrated the Force’s important role in the realm of international dignitary protection.
