To enhance the law-abiding awareness of teenagers and their understanding of the potential harmful effects of online gambling, the Force launched a series of promotion campaigns themed “Stay Away From Illegal Gambling”.

Chief Inspector Wong Yu-fai and Senior Inspector Lau Kai-yin of the Organized Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) as well as Police Clinical Psychologist Woo Chin-pang had a thematic interview with various media on June 5. An interview clip was played, in which a young rehabilitated gambler shared his painful experience brought by participating in illegal gambling, and warned teenagers about the harmful effects of illegal gambling.

In addition, the promotional video against illegal gambling produced by the Force has been aired across several media. OCTB will also conduct the anti-illegal gambling operations “CROWBEAK” and “WINDSHIELD” during the tournament of World Cup 2026 to combat illegal bookmaking activities and illegal gambling.
