On June 15, four new features were launched on the eTraffic Ticket Platform (eTTP), with the aim of meeting the fleet management needs of the transport sector and further facilitating the handling of Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) for illegal parking by the public. These new features include:
1. Introducing multiple roles for account access
The eTTP now allows users to authorise multiple roles, including “Agent”, “Agency Company” and “Designated Staff”, to access their accounts, in order to facilitate fleet management and the handling of FPNs for illegal parking for vehicles under their management.
2. “Vehicle-specific QR Codes”
“Vehicle-specific QR Codes” can be generated by and downloaded from the eTTP. Upon scanning the relevant QR code via the eTTP’s mobile application, on-duty drivers can record their driving periods. If an FPN for illegal parking is issued during that period, the on-duty drivers will receive a push notification from the application, allowing them to view the details and settle the fines.
3. Application to view
Users may apply through the eTTP to view the photos taken by police officers during the issuance of FPNs for illegal parking.
4. Support for disputes over FPNs
Users can dispute the liability for FPNs through the eTTP, and upload relevant supporting documents based on the circumstances of their cases. As legal proceedings are involved, identity authentication and digital signing via “iAM Smart+” are required.
To help the public adapt to the relevant arrangements of FPNs, the Traffic Branch Headquarters will adopt a dual-track approach, under which both paper and electronic FPNs will be issued at the same time.
