On June 6, the day of the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), the Recruitment Division (RECDIV) held the second round of the Probationary Inspector (PI) CRE Express. To expand outreach, promotional materials were displayed at all examination venues under the Home Affairs Department. The RECDIV also set up recruitment booths at the
AsiaWorld-Expo and the Police College, which was used as an examination venue for the first time, to introduce the career development opportunities within the Force to approximately 1 200 candidates. Over 100 PI applications were received during the event.

Through the PI CRE Express, eligible candidates are offered exclusive sessions for the PI Written Examination, Physical Fitness Test, and the newly introduced Extended Interview, thereby streamlining and expediting the selection process. Based on their CRE results, candidates may be exempted from certain papers of the PI Written Examination. Moreover, candidates who obtain Level 4 or above in both English and Chinese in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination may proceed directly to the Extended Interview stage. The earliest interview session is scheduled for June 28 during the Police Recruitment Day 2026 at Kai Tak Sports Park.
