The Senior Police Call (SPC) Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025 cum Luncheon was held on June 18 at the Police Officers’ Club. The AGM was chaired by Regional Commander of New Territories South (RC NTS) cum Chairperson of the SPC Central Advisory Board (CAB) Cheung Wai-wah. He expressed his appreciation to all attendees for their support of the SPC, and remarked that the SPC will continue to encourage senior citizens to contribute their strengths, working hand in hand with the Force in combatting crime, and give back to society.
In addition to reviewing the activities organised under the new brand “PALS@SPC”, the AGM introduced future development directions of the SPC. Additionally, 44 members were presented with the “Best SPC Captain” and “Most Active SPC Member” awards for their active participation in the activities and training over the past year.
Commissioner Chow Yat-ming, Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Yip Wan-lung and Director of Operations Lui Kam-ho were invited to the luncheon. In his speech, the Commissioner said that over the past year, the SPC has comprehensively implemented a series of enhancements under the new “PALS@SPC” direction. He expressed his hope that the SPC will continue collaborating with various stakeholders to foster a safer, more caring, and inclusive community.
Appreciation trophies were presented at the luncheon to SPC’s outstanding strategic partners. The event also featured a singing performance of the new SPC theme song by Star Ambassador
Hey Brother, and an anti-deception costume drama staged by SPC members from Yuen Long District, the champion team of the first SPC Anti-Deception Drama Competition.
The SPC will continue to strive for excellence, actively collaborate with various organisations, encourage more elderly to participate in social affairs, and raise awareness among seniors about crime and deception prevention.
