Beijing Police College
Under the arrangement of the Police College (College), Senior Superintendent Ng Chui-ting and Superintendent
Chan Ching-sum led a 28-member delegation to attend the 121st Mainland Development Programme at the Beijing Police College between May 25 and June 5.
The thematic courses, delivered by professors from the Beijing Police College, covered the country’s technological development, achievements in artificial intelligence, and the holistic approach to national security. The delegation also visited the Tianjin Municipal Public Security Bureau and engaged in in-depth exchange with local officials to foster mutual understanding of each other’s milestones in policing development. Furthermore, the delegation toured the National Museum of China and various attractions, experiencing the rich history of the Motherland and its high-quality advancement in modern technology.
Guangdong Police College
Superintendent Lau Chi-chung and Chief Inspector Ho Kai-ho led 25 officers to Guangdong to participate in the 42nd Mainland Development Programme at Guangdong Police College from June 8 to 13.
The six-day programme combined theory with practice. Chinese Mainland experts elaborated in the classroom lectures the criminal legal systems of the two jurisdictions as well as shared the different stages, experiences and challenges involved in combatting telephone deceptions in the Chinese mainland respectively. The delegation also conducted a field visit to an electric vehicle manufacturing plant, and also visited the Bai’etan GBA Art Center and the Guangzhou Police History Museum.
