Organised by Hong Kong Island Region (HKI) and sponsored by the Teens and Elderly Mission Committee, the “Junior Police Call (JPC) National Security • Anti-Narcotics and Crime Prevention 3x3 Basketball Training Programme 2026” was officially launched on June 1. Lam Hung-chuen, Eastern District Council Member cum National Security Education District Tutor Ms Chan Hang, the Hong Kong Basketball League A1 Division training team, as well as over 100 teachers, students, and JPC members arrived at the venue for participation. A1 Division players even taught 3x3 basketball skills at the venue.


The themes of this year’s programme are “National Security, Anti-Narcotics and Crime Prevention”, with particular emphasis on national security education, provision of in-depth explanation of national security concept, youth responsibilities, and law-abiding awareness, conveying the message that “The security of Hong Kong and our homes hinges on the security of our motherland”. The programme features a wider array of content, including school talks and basketball training, territory-wide competitions, community carnivals, volunteer services, and Chinese Mainland exchange tours.


Since its launch in 2024, the programme has achieved remarkable results. Last year, it was extended to 114 primary and secondary schools, drawing participation from over 6 000 teachers and students.
